Pounds / Hearst Connecticut MediaBRIDGEPORT – A federal lawsuit has been filed by 29 Connecticut communities against three of the largest distributors of opioids in the state.'This case arises from the worst man-made epidemic in modern history,' states the complaint filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport. 'An epidemic of addiction, overdose and death caused by the defendants flooding the United States, including the state of Connecticut and the plaintiffs' communities with prescription opioids.
