Rainbow Gardens in Milford, Connecticut

I would love to give Rainbow Gardens a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, the only reason I am holding back was because the service was only average. Food was served relatively quickly, but the waitstaff weren't very personable. The atmosphere is great at this place and we had dinner out on the patio with beautiful landscaping. The interior looked very nice and the restrooms were clean. The establishment is an old victorian home converted into a restaurant. Additionally there is a take out food area with prepared meals. I did not try any of these meals, but checked them out and they appeared to have a reasonable selection of sandwiches, salads, and pastas. We ordered the meat loaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and buttered/herbed summer veggies, along with the Raspberry Chicken Explosion salad. Both were generously portioned and delicious. The salad had a moist grilled chicken cutlet and was chocked full of fresh greens and fruits. The dressing appeared to me home made. The meatloaf was moist and delicious. The gravy appeared to be home made and the potatoes were flavorful. The veggies, like the salad, were extremely fresh and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be returning to this place again.
