Accordig to market research firm Ipsos, 31 percent of Americans say they would prefer to live in the suburbs, compared to 16 percent for urban areas and 24 percent for rural communities. But even after you've made your mind up that you're living midway between Smallville and Metropolis, there's still plenty of wiggle room to navigate, especially in Connecticut.
